reinstall xp

Having many probs w/ xp upgd over win 98(programs not
installing,norton antivirus as part of systemworks for
one) will uninstalling xp and starting over help?
getting ready to either toss out window or blow 1500 cash.

If you didn't uninstall obsolete software and hardware before upgrading,
then yes a clean install will probably help. First, I would suggest going to
the Symantec web site and find out how to remove your current software and
any other software giving you trouble.
Then try a repair install. If you still have problems, do a clean install.
