Great, thank you! I do have the original legal copy of XP
Professional. Now, could you give me a plan on how to
eliminate the partition and have the entire hard dive (80
GB)as Drive C: ?

If you boot from the CD, then part of the install process will allow you to
manage (and blow away, if you want) the partitions on your drive before
selecting where you want to install.
