Reinstall xp home

in the middle of re-installing home xp my home xp cd is misplaced and screen
says insert hom disk to finish installment. what do i do? CAN I ABORT THE
WHOLE REINSTALLMENT OR WHAT? HELP!!!!

Can't you find the disc again?
 
We are guessing here that what you are using is a "recovery" CD with XP on
it plus other stuff supplied by the maker of your computer system and that
it spans more than one CD............?????????
If this is the case you most likely have gone thru the steps of formatting
the Hard drive ........its now empty
If you have lost the other 1/2 of this recovery CD and are unable to locate
it you could contact the maker of your computer and request another for
which they will charge you a nominal fee...
or you could go to your local computer store and purchase a new copy of XP
and install from scratch.

without knowing specific make of computer and exactly where in the
installation process it stopped we can only offer generic help.

Most likely the CD is an OEM version furnished by the computer maker so
contact the computer maker for a replacement disk. If the CD was a retail
version sold by MS, then contact them for a replacement. There will likely
be a small charge for the replacement disk.
