Dear Reader,

Few questions regarding W2000 Terminal Server:

- What does it cost to activate the server itself, i can't seem to
find this information anywhere.

- After installing a W2000 Terminal Server, and activating it. Is it
possible to activate it again on a new server(instead of the one that
was used before) ? If you have to pay to activate the server, do you
have to pay for it again ? (In the case of installing W2000 Terminal
server on another server instead of the one that was used before).

- And after reinstalling W2000 Terminal Server on another server, is
it possible to use the TS CAL that you get with Windows 2000 and XP
Pro, to use it again on the new server ? Or do you have to buy a TS
CAL.

Thanx for reading.

My questions have been put in a thread but it doesn't answer my questions.

So im still looking for the answers ;)

Thanx.

Thanx for the answer, and this:

If you have a Windows XP or 2000 pro pc, that is bought in the store,
and the license is put on the machine itself. Than you only have the
software key what you can use, if you need to install Windows XP or
2000 pro.
Can you use this key to activate a TS CAL for that pc ? AND After
reinstalling the server, is it possible to use this same key again ?

Thanx in advance.

There's no need to use that key for anything. The WinXP Pro or Win2000 Pro
client will get a license from the "built-in" pool of CALs.
