Reinstall OS and Leave RAID 1 Intact ?

Hi Everyone -

I built a nice machine last year but it has developed some problems and I
need to strip out the OS and reinstall. This was my first use of a RAID
configuration (RAID 1 to be specific) and all went well. This mirrored pair
is for data only and there is a 74 gig Raptor that houses the OS and some
apps. (The system is detailed below.)

My question is this: can I reinstall the OS without wiping and reformatting
the mirrored RAID data drives? I don't remember enough about the process to
recall if this was an option. If so, how would I go about it? Thanks in
advance for any thoughts.

Yes.

Yes it is, essentially where you specify were to put the OS and what to format.
If so, how would I go about it?

Boot the OS CD, tell it to install the OS on the Raptor.

Correct advice.

If you have any questions as to what you are doing...
disconnect the RAID array while reinstalling the OS
