reinstall help

well, I bought a new hard drive but unfortunately I can't
find my xp pro booklet with cd and key so I can't install
it. I was curious if I can get my xp pro product key from
windows right now before I install the new hard drive and
if I can use my father's OEM cd to install with(using my
product key of course).

Hi,

Problem is, if it's a retail key and an OEM disk, they probably won't work
together. Gford needs to find the key that matches his/her version of WinXP.
