Regsvr 32

Recently I had come across some sort of virus. I use Avast 4.0 antivirus.
The avtivirus let me know I had the virus, and asked me what to do. Without
thinking I chose delete instead of move to chest. Now every time I turn on
my computer I recieve an error saying REGSVR32 Load library ("C\documents and
settings\all users\application data\izmlilgv.dll") failed, the specified
module could not be found.

Can anyone help me figure out how to fix this problem.

Hi James,

Use Autoruns to find any unwanted start up and delete, you will need to
click on Explorer.exe Tab and the Start Up Tab and see if you will see the
entry for it and right click, select Remove/Delete.
As this an empty entry (orphan) for the Virus App left after been remove by
Avast.

To make sure your system is clean:
Go through these Cleaning steps:
1... First, try to clean up your caches, Internet files and delete cookies
by doing this:
Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE properties windows you will see these Taps:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs |
Advanced
Under General Tab clear your History, Internet Files and Cookies.
Then click on Advanced tab and scroll down to under the Browsing Option:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Enable Third-Party browser extensions (Req Rest) uncheck this box.
Then click on Programs Tab and click Manage Add-Ons and Disable all non
Verified Add-Ons (You should Renable them later one-by-one and see the
culprit and update it or remove it.

Scan for malware from here:
Spybot Search & Destroy

Run a scan from here on-line:

Download Avast Cleaner (offline scanner) from here:

Lots of tools to download and disinfect your machine (offline scanner):
http://www.bitdefender.co.uk/site/Downloads/browseFreeRemovalTool/

After the scan run disk cleanup on your drive.


2- Download the Hijackthis and send the report to one of many
forums for analysis and troubleshooting:

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. Post
your log to http://aumha.net/viewforum.php?f=30,
http://castlecops.com/forum67.html,
http://forums.subratam.org/index.php?showforum=7, or other appropriate
forums for expert analysis, not here.
Any error message, have a look in the event viewer and post them here.

Avast! removed the virus, which was in that .dll, but didn't remove the
reference to it in the registry.

Click Start, Run, type REGEDIT, click OK. Press the Home key, press F3,
type the name of the file into the search pane. Click "Find Next", and
when located, delete the reference to the file. Press F3 to continue
the search.

You can click File, Export, and save the entry to the Desktop. If you
remove it and there's a problem, double-click the .reg file you exported
to the Desktop and it'll be added to the registry again. You can create
a restore point before editing the registry too.
 
Thank you for the help. That seems to have fixed it at startup, however now
whenever I do any kind of search, weather its google, yahoo, msn, and i click
on a link in the search results i get a blank page and it appears that im
trying to be re-directed to something called www.webcry.com. Any ideas on
what this is? I have already ran spybot, ad-aware, and ran my anti-virus.
Nothing has been picked up.

The search can be reset to defaults. IE Tools menu, Options, General tab,
search Settings button.
