Yes "Wow" helps MS-MVP!

I assumed there would be questions about details.

What exactly do you want to know?

It is a Trial program, and it deletes "Trial" as part of the name.

It is still a trial though...

I was attempting to be as helpful in the resolution of your problem as you
were in the presentation of your problem. From your response - I succeeded.
We cannot see your computer, we cannot see what you are doing, what you have
done and what it is you are intending to happen. We do not know anything
that you do not tell us about your situation.

What details? Examples:

- What operating system (specifically) are you running (Windows XP is
assumed - Winidows XP Home Edition, Professional Edition, Media Center
Edition, TabletPC Edition or x64 is far less assumable.)
- What 'specific' registry entry and now - specific 'trial software' are you
referring to?
- Are you trying to remove theword 'trial' manually for some reason - or is
that even what you are trying to do (it is still unclear.)?

So, you've got a free 'trial' version of a program and you think that by
editing your registry you can convert it to the full (i.e. should have been
paid for) version of the program.

Try visiting the program's site and see if there is an option to register
the program. That should remove the trial part from the registry. If not
contact the program's support site and see if they have a better fix.

NOT AT ALL!

You have misread my intention.

Esthetics, pure and simple.

Not at all unusual for neurotics...

Oh my God, you are a simpleton!

It might be a security program blocking the Registry change it needs to
make. A few, but not all, of the programs now doing this are:
Ad-aware's Ad-Watch
IBM Access Connections
McAfee VirusScan and/or Antispyware
Norton AV
Spyware Blaster
Spybot> Tools> IE Tweaks
Spybot- Teatimer
Spysweeper
Spyware Doctor
Windows Defender
Zone Alarm (free) 6.5 Reported to be fixed in later versions.

In the case of Zone Alarm 6.5 or Norton 2007 it actually has to be
uninstalled. Make sure the Windows Firewall is turned on until you
reinstall Zone Alarm.

Boot into Safe Mode with Networking and try the change.

Sounds like the program itself is changing the title back. Easy to do.
Guess you'll just have to fork out the $$$ to get rid of the "Trial" label.
