registry space and windows media player issue

keep getting prompt that my registry space is too low -
what can I do?

can no longer access windows media player via desktop
icon - sais internal application error - what do I do?

got computer, etc used and installed windows 200 - am new
to the computer/internet world - help!

Right-click My Computer, click Properties.
Advanced
Performance Options
Change...
Increase the maximum registry size.
Save and reboot.
