Registry size tool?

I'm thinking about writing a new tool that will display the size of a
Registry key, and the subkeys. Before I start, I wanted to make sure it
hasn't been done already. Has anyone seen a tool like this?

Sometimes I see fairly new machines with an enormous registry file (usually
HKLM\Software), and it would be nice to be able to track down the keys
responsible.

I assume you are referring to Microsoft's chkreg.exe? I played around with
it when it first came out and I don't remember any options to just show the
size of a certain key. Plus it only runs from the setup boot floppy (disk
number 6).
