Having switched from W2K to XP-SP2 my audio volume output
has decreased by 75%, no I did not turn the volume down.

It is an Altec Lansing ACS48 with a Diamond 300MX audio
card which is the Aureal 8330 chipset, Microsoft standard
drivers (Vortex Multifunction PCI Parent).

I used to have to turn it down, now I have less audio
volume, since I am half deaf I need be able to turn it to
33.

So what are the Registry settings for setting the master
volume?

There are not necessarily registry settings for everything. I don't know
where people get the idea that the registry is a magic wand.

Registry Settings? Tried the volume button on your speakers?
Troubleshoot!
Start>Control Panel>Sounds and Audio>Volume tab
check if the slider has not been placed all the way to the left.
