Registry Repair

As opposed to a registry "cleaner", is there any software that can scan a
registry and repair it; e.g., adding necessary entries that may have gone
missing or broken?

The shareware (not freeware) RegSupreme does registry repair and cleaning.
From the jv16 folks, www.macecraft.com. As I remember, we paid $13 for
it, a bit cheaper than its competitors, and, IMHO, better than any of the
others we've tried.

No, but it was, and to the degree that I had to reinstall Windows and all
other software. I wanted to "be prepared" for any future problems.
