I refreshed (formatted) my HD and reloaded windows and everything seemed to
be running fine, but now the pc will keep restarting all on its own. It will
go to the start screen and then restart, after it restarts it gives this
error "One of the files containing the system's Registry Data had to be
recovered by use of a log or alternate copy. The recovery was succesfully"
The computer doesn't seem to be running very well. I tried to reload windows
again and I am still getting that message about the registry. Any ideas what
could be causing this and how to fix it? Thanks, Greg

Have you checked the hard drive for errors?

Have you tried repairing (eliminating orphaned entries) and defragging the
sytem registry unsing a tool like TuneUp Utilities? They have a free 30 day
trial that can help with these issues.

I tried running scandisk and it didn't find anything. I will try defraging
the registry. Thanks for the reply.
