What is the significance of an asterisk in a registry line?

In HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager I find:

BootExecute REG_MULTI_SG autocheck autochk *isdelete

Isdelete.exe was a part of AdAware which I am no longer running. Isdelete
no longer exists on my hard drive. Does an asterisk mean "ignore?"

Remove the isdelete entry, the proper value should read:

autocheck autochk *

Seems this entry gets garbled by other software too. I had O&O defrag
installed and it chewed this up really bad. It made the entries in
autoruns program show about 15 entries for this one item.

Thank God for AutoRuns. There are so few powerful programs that are easy to
use. It seems that most of todays programs are written specifically to
appeal to techy minded, hacker type beta testing guru/geeks.
