Registry/Installation Error

I have a client running Outlook 2002. When I try to set up an e-mail account
via Tool<Email<Add new E-mail account, I receive the following message:

The operation failed due to a registry or installation problem. Restart
Outook and try again. If problem presists, please reinstall.

So I closed the reopened Outlook and tried again, and got the same message.
I then proceded to dectect and repair. It stated that it was successful, but
I get the same error.

I then did a reinstall and that didn't work either, same error. Also, if I
try to add a new e-mail through the control panel<mail<add new e-mail, the
computer does not open the window no matter how many times I click the
button.

What do I need to do to resolve this problem??

Hi Dan,
have you installed all SP?

I am having the same issue after numerous other problems with Office. I
downloaded the Trail version from Microsoft.com and am getting the same error
message and having the same issues with several of the menus not
working/responding to my clicks....
