I have recently installed Win 2000 pro on a new hard
drive. Install was clean and unit went through numerous
power cycles with the OS loading fine before it was
eventually shut down. When turning the unit back on, I get
the following error message during OS load:
"The registry cannot load the hive (file):
\SystemRoot\System32\Config\Software or its log or
alternate. It is corrupt, absent, or not writeable."
I used the Recovery Console, and (once again) the OS was
installed and loaded fine. Powered the unit down, and
when it was powered up again, same thing.
Any help is surely appreciated.
