I have more than 100 programs installed in my W2K/SP3 system.
I want to upgrade to XP so I bought an OEM version with some
hardware and have now discovered that I can't upgrade with
that OEM version. I can only do a full install, which will
destroy my W2K registry and software install data.
So...
I'm wondering how much of my install data I can save by
first exporting sections of my W2K registry and then
importing them once XP is installed so that my 100+ programs
will be accessible.
I imagine there are greater and lesser problems with this
approach but I wonder to what extent it is
feasible/reasonble to attempt?
Hmmm?
