following: 1. download registy update from: www.regfixit.com 2. install
registry update 3. run registry update 4 reboot your computer. FAILURE TO ACT
NOW MAY LEAD TO SYSTEM FAILURE!
Then another one pops up saying registry is corrupted go to regfixing.net
Then aother pops up registry error go to www.helpfixpc.com.
I am getting frustrated I was downloading microsoft updates and there were
like 20 of them that popped up.
Can someone please help?

Firstly using utilities loosely known as registry cleaners is not a good
move. Both your two links take you to a registry cleaner.

I would use the Warning and Error Report in the System and Application
logs to see what is going on.

Please post copies of all Error and Warning Reports appearing in
the System and Application logs in Event Viewer for the last boot. No
Information Reports or Duplicates please. Indicate which also appear in
a previous boot.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer. When researching the meaning
of the error, information regarding Event ID, Source and Description
are important.

HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from
Event Viewer.

Hope this helps.

It sounds like you are getting Messenger Service spam. By default, SP2
sets your firewall to be running (which is good), but SP1 and earlier
don't. So if you are getting this kind of spam, either you turned off
your firewall for some reason (not a good idea) or you don't have SP2
(also not a good idea). One way to eliminate Messenger Service spam is
to follow the directions on this Web page:

http://www.easytorecall.com/pop_ups_article.htm

Scroll down to where it says "Messenger Service Pop ups and how to
disable messenger service." Look familiar?

But the better way is to make sure your firewall is enabled.

Do you have SP2?
