Where are the registry entries for anything found under the "tools" dropdown
option in IE. I have a machine at work that has an entry that I need to get
rid of and haven't been able to get it deleted.

Hi,
If you want to delete the entry of some softwares, the key is under

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions

Thanks,
That DID erase the option under "tool" that I was looking for.

It did not erase the search bar though. I've looked all through there. Any
other suggestions? It's not in Add/Remove programs, I've run Spybot. Just
can't seem to get rid of that search bar. "begin2search.com" is the name of
it.

Should be a BHO:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browse
r Helper Objects\

{06849E9F-C8D7-4D59-B87D-784B7D6BE0B3} is an example, look up the CLSID for
each to see what it implements. This CLSID in particular is from Acrobat
Reader, it allows embedding of PDFs in IE.

Hi,
I recommend that you should use the tool called "HijackThis" to delete a
BHO.Because it's easy to use and should be good for you in the future.
