Our application when installed creates entries under
Current User | Software | VB and VBA program settings. The
key we create disappears everytime the user shuts down her
pc. No other key seem to be affected. She is able to go
and recreate the key when she starts our app and the app
will run fine until shut-down(or a reboot). Any ideas what
can be causing this. Not one other user has ever reported
this and I am stumped.

Rick....I've got the EXACT same problem with one user, looked at viru
software, policy editor, you name it and still can't find anything
I'll keep looking for answers....

Well, one user reinstalled Windows 2000 and says she no
longer has the problem, another said she got the problem
after fixing a Sasser Worm infection, THEN downloading
critical updates from Microsoft.

Someone suggested that this could occur if users are
logging into domains with a mandatory profile or are
members of the Guest group as well. Wasn't applicable for
me -maybe for you. Good luck.

Check to see if they are using any spyware removal
utilities. One user uninstalled hers and stopped having
the problem.
