Hi,
When I try to delete a the key "MODEMWAVE" under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - SYSTEM - CurrentControlSet - Enum

I get 'Cannot delete this key ' Error.

I need to do this to reinstall my Modem driver.

Can you please help me?

Thanks
Ganesh

Could be registry key permission problem. Use regedt32.exe and check what
permissions that key has. As an administrator you can take ownership of that
key and then delete it.

According to the following Microsoft Document you should not change the
permissions on the Enum subkey, or use the Registry Editor to delete the
key. You should use Device Manager to remove this device. For more
information see:

Windows 2000 Resource Kits | Windows 2000 Registry Reference |
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SYSTEM | CurrentControlSet: Enum
