Win2KproSP4 fat32..
Is there a way to edit a 'registry key', from a floppy MS-DOS (win98se)
boot??
Where can the registry file be located using MS-DOS??

1.) In what way?
2.) You'll find them in %systemroot%\system32\config directory.

I wish to access and edit with DOS the following key:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\
PagingFiles REG_MULTI_SZ "D:\pagefile.sys 384 768";
In order to change "D" to "C", when "D" is not active, then Win2K hangs
on POST,
and any key only repeats the hang in 'safe mode' or 'last good boot'...

To what end? If Windows 2000 does not start then tell us the details and or
post the error messages you receive.

o.k., but will have to wait until I screw up again, using C: & D:
pagefiles, since I correct most problems using a forensic copy back and
forth between my C: & external E: HDD..

Still too cryptic to have much of a clue but give this a go.
