I need some help...
after performing different actions my problem of hijacking the default IE
page is back over and over. Spy-sweep, spy-boot..... etc, helped only
temporary...

I wonder, is there a tool that allows registry changes tracking? I mean, I
would like to be informed when some application/proccess writes to the
registry.

Have you followed all the advice given the other day? I'd start with
the CoolWebSearch shredder and progress from there.

Run them all. Then, go get a better browser, so you don't have to
worry about it anymore.

This program may be useful.

In Ad-Aware Plus there is a subprogram called Ad-watch that can do this.

Regmon at:
http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/source/regmon.shtml

Introduction copied from the regmon page:

Regmon is a Registry monitoring utility that will show you which
applications are accessing your Registry, which keys they are
accessing, and the Registry data that they are reading and writing -
all in real-time. This advanced utility takes you one step beyond
what static Registry tools can do, to let you see and understand
exactly how programs use the Registry. With static tools you might be
able to see what Registry values and keys changed. With Regmon you'll
see how the values and keys changed..

Regmon works on Windows NT/2000/XP/2003, Windows 95/98/Me and Windows
64-bit for Itanium and x64.

THe Spybot S&D BETA 1.3 RC5 does this. It flags a warning up anytime
something tries to modify the registry and asks you whether you want to
allow or deny the change along with a "remember this decision" option.

RegistryProt is a 100% free, standalone, compact, low-level realtime
registry monitor and protector, that adds another dimension to Windows
security and intrusion detection. By monitoring important locations and keys
in the Windows system registry, RegistryProt will alert whenever a key is
added or changed, and then give the option of accepting the key change,
reverting back to the original key setting, or deleting the key.
