registry backup

is there a backup application to backup certain parts of the Registry to
different folders?

ERUNT.EXE contains a sub-application called NTREGOPT.EXE which does an
excellent job of backing up the Windows NT or XP registry.

Erunt.exe backs up the entire registry in a compacted format. Ntregopt.exe
optimises the registry (I have not found that it makes a great reduction in
the size). To backup part(s) of the registry it is best to use the inbuilt
Export function (Start>Run>Regedit>Select the part to be backed
up>File>Export).
