My computer is running win2k professional, it was working
just fine. Now when I try and use the network shares, I
get the error message, "network path not found." I am
able to ping the server and other computers on my LAN. I
am able to reach the Internet. I have reloaded protocols.
I have changed computer names and re-entered the domain.
Permissions are correct.

I have been told that I must repair the registry by using
the win2k repair disk. Also what is the best procedure to
repair the registry. I have not done this before. Is
this my last resort or did I miss something?

HI

The problem is with the SERVICES of windows 2000 and the IP you have set on
your computer(Static/DHCP).Also see if your computer is on the network,
which can be verified from any other computer in the network by browsing
through the network neighbourhood.

Also do the following :

Got to the windows Management console and checkout the services.
Check the Computer Browser and Server services and see that they are
started.

I have checked the services and they are running on this
computer. I have double checked to see if this computer
is logged on the network, it is not on recognized on the
LAN by other computers and I cannot ping it. Although
this computer can ping out to the network and access to
the internet. Any suggestions?
