Can i remove all Giant keys from the register.

After i updated to windowsdefender is see there are lots of old keys and
firewal exclusions about the giant stuff. Also MSAS keys.

Can they be deleted without any cause of damage ?

(ccleanup and regscrub dont detect these entries)

Hello Robert,

You can try out Microsoft's Safety test at:

http://safety.live.com/site/en-US/default.htm

Click on the broom Clean up, also Tune Up..

in the left column, and do a Scan.

For best results, do this in safe mode with networking.

As always, you should make sure that you have got a working system restore
point before you run any test.

Use System Restore to Undo Changes if Problems Occur

Hey Engel,

It doesnt work with mozilla (seamonkey) as a browser.
And i have almost everything what is working with Internet Explorer
disabled (security reasons). So when i tried it with internet explorer i
cant get to that site.

So it doesnt work.

But can i remove it. Manually ?

But thanks for the input, maybe other users can take their advantage
with it.

ccleaner from www.ccleaner.com will do that job for you.

I wrote already that that doesnt work...sometimes you must manually
clean the register. But i want to know if i CAN remove all Giant
entries. Or is WD using those entries

Ccleaner removed all of the MS Antispyware registry trash for me.
And yes the system works great after removing these registry issues.

right, it works great, i must admit. But if you do a search in the
register you find Giant residu. That part i want to delete !

I used a program called
RegScanner v1.20 (from Web Site: http://www.nirsoft.net)
to scan the registry for all examples of "giant" and "cgas*" then I removed the entries (after
making a restore point)
and everything seems to be working great.

RegScanner scans your registry for all examples of word (or phrase) and then presents you with a
list. You click on an item in the list and RegScanner takes you right to that spot in the registry.
Then you can modify, delete or just look at the entry, Your choice.
