Hi,

Can you please tell me if there is a register which Microsoft IE use
to look up which JRE it will use when it loads a Java Applet?

Thank you.

For Sun's Java:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\AdvancedOptions\JAVA_SUN\SELECT

For MS's Java VM:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\AdvancedOptions\JAVA_VM

For Sun's Java:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\AdvancedOptions\JAVA_SUN\SELECT

For MS's Java VM:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\AdvancedOptions\JAVA_VM

Thanks Jon,

I have a legacy Java Applet which only runs with Microsoft JRE.
But for some reason, IE 7 can't detect that Microsoft JRE. I have
tried uninstall it, reinstall MS JRE, but that does not help.
And I have tried uninstall both SUN/MS JRE and reinstall just MS JRE,
IE still cant' detect that JRE.

Any suggestion?
