I have created a power point file twice now, then saved it
without problem. When I try to open it I recieve this
message:

Power Point could not open "....". A registered converter
was not found and may need to be reinstalled"

Aside from reinstalling powerpoint, is there anything else
I can do?

Roger,

Does this happen with all presentations you create?

Or have you imported/inserted something a bit out of the ordinary (wmv/qt/emf/cgm) into the troublesome presentation?

Cheers

Hello,

There's a good chance that you are running into a known problem with Office
applications and Norton's AntiVirus software.

The Norton AntiVirus plug-in for Microsoft Office scans documents for macro
virus infections in Office products. This plug-in may cause performance
issues, the inability to open files within Office (such as design templates
in PowerPoint), or the inability to install some Office applications.

The latest information about the problems associated with this plug-in can
be located in the following KB article:

No, I copied a template that I've used a few time with no
problems, then added some jpegs, which I have done in the
past with no problems.

Thanks for the help.
