Regedit

When ever I try to run regedit - I get a window popup
that tells me Register Editing has been turned off by
your adminstrator.

There is only my account on this PC - a guest account is
turned off.

I need to get into the registry to delete some files and
can't.

ANy ideas?

Boot to Safe Mode.

have you tried regedt32 apart from regedit?

No such thing in XP. There is a stub that just starts regedit if regedt32 is typed.
