I have an XP PC that appears to have a corrupt registry. Every time I do a search for an item in the registry (using regedit), it will search for a while and then the computer will just reboot. I have tried running several registry checker softwares, but can only seem to get about 92% through the registry scan before the computer reboots

I need a way to either rebuild the registry (without setting up the pc again) or recommendation for a good utility. So far I have tried Registry First Aid from RoseCitySoftware and a few others. Help!!

Have you tried this one? Registrar Lite, freeware
http://www.resplendence.com/reglite
Take a look at the paid-for Resplendent Registrar too.

If there is no further help, post this to
