While in Regedit, I would like to copy/paste a key (dosdevice/c I think) from
one registry to another registry.

Do you mean paste it to another systems registry? You cannot do this in the registry.
You can use the File/Export function for this. Highlight the Key and select File/Export give the file a distinctive name and save it somewhere. Move it to the other system and right click the file and select Merge.

You cannot copy/paste a key in that manner. You will have to manually create
the key within regedit.
