Never Ever
Hi,
I had this same problem... it turns out that I had to go to the device
manager and set Microsoft ACPI Resource to Disabled and then reboot.
After that it was able to install the interface node and the APM tab
was restored, so the computer would power down on shutdown.
Windows XP sucks.
