I only just now occured to me that I won't be able to read any posts
about my problem because the page contains THAT word (the f word). It
is annoying! So I am wrinting it again. Without that word. Ok The
problem. My favorite websites will not load. I get loading and blank
or unchanged pages on mozilla firefox and "this page can not be
displayed" on IE6. I have tried to google it with the same results. I
can get the websites on my laptop at school. I also can't open
ee-mails containing the word (as shown by my recent post) and my other
account will not open at all because that word is contiained in some of
teh names of the people sending me things. I think it may be a filter,
but I don't think we have one on the home network. How can I tell?
Can anyone help? Or point me to someone who can?

Hi,
Try this test *very* *very* briefly because you'll be running with security
programs shutdown...
Startup in Safe Mode with Networking.
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=315222 If the problem goes
away, a program that didn't load in Safe Mode is causing it. Look at
security, privacy, ad-blockers, etc. to find that program.

Have you checked for a message rule in your e-mail program?

Are you running, at home, a router with a firewall that might be blocking
these sites?

The problem might be with your ISP. Try contacting them via e-mail or phone.

Test... f a n f i c t i o n
Did that get blocked?

Hope this helps,
Don
