Can you clarify what each drive letter represents? Your A drive will be your floppy drive.
I suggest you Enable Show Hidden Files and Folders. To enable show hidden files select Start, Control Panel, Folder Options, View, Advanced Settings and place a check before Show Hidden Files and Folders.
Next Enter Windows Explorer and place the cursor on each drive letter in turn, right click and select Properties. You need to ascertain for each whether they are a hard drive ( or a partitioned part of a hard drive ) or a CD or DVD drive? Also how large each hard drive is and how much free space each has? Where it says Local Drive it is referring to a hard drive ( or a partitioned part of a hard drive ).
It is more common to find the Windows folder on the C drive. Please confirm that your computer is not dual booting i.e. you are not using another version of Windows with Windows XP ( Windows 98 perhaps occupying your C drive?
On which drive do you keep your data files / My Documents folder?
Do you use Outlook Express often?
I am not clear whether you have one or two hard drives but the number of drive letters suggest that partitions have been created. Were these created by you or for you? What tool was used to create the partitions? In which partition are your programme files and where is your Paging File? To locate your paging file select Start, Control Panel, System, Advanced, Performance, Settings, Advanced, Virtual Memory, Change. Note the location of the Paging File ( Drive letter ) and click on OK. Do not change anything!
To immediately regain space you can run DiskCleanUp. Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk
Cleanup. You should select your D drive and it will empty your Recycle Bin and remove Temporary Internet Files, if located on the D drive. You might as well repeat the process for all other hard drives. Then run Disk Defragmenter for each hard drive. If you have less than 15% free space on a hard drive you may be prevented from running Disk Defragmenter.
When you have done this housekeeping recheck the amount of free space on each hard drive and post all information gathered in a further message. We can then ascertain the best way to increase the free space on your D drive.

Hope this helps.
