In a windows 2003 AD infrastructure with windows XP
desktops, users without membership to the admin / Power
users security groups are not able to view the Date and
Time properties page. The message is " you dont have
previledge to change the system time". We do not want to
give end users member ship to "Admin/Power user security
groups".

Please send in your suggestions and work arounds.

Hello,

1. How about content filtering? you may have a firewall
at your business, that will allow this through URL and key
phrase blocking, like "security" or "user rites" etc...

2. Software solution: Computer Associates Content
management for each system on your network. If you have
more than 10 PC, you may qualify for an Open License
version, which will save your company $. E-mail me if your
interested.

Hope this helps - good luck

Magesh,

Take a look at this article:

300022 You Cannot Set the Date, Time, or Time Zone on Your Computer
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=300022

This can also be done via group policy:
Computer settings -> Windows settings -> Security settings -> Local
policies -> user rights assignments

Please note by changing the system time the user may introduce problems for
a PC in a Windows 2000\2003 domain....What is your end goal?
