reg key

i hae micro soft office on my laptop, and i want to move
it to my desktop, i have the disc but not the reg key,
how can i get the reg key from my laptop?

Contact Microsoft Customer Support and explain it to them.

Open Word, click on Help, Click on About Microsoft Word.
The Product ID is listed there.

But the Product ID is not the Reg Key. Reg Key is not displayed anywhere
visible, because it is the license key and is protected from someone else
"borrowing" it. <G>
 
Oh yeah, forgot about those things... My org buys
the "industrial size" so I rarely reference it.

If Office came with the laptop when you bought it, it probably has a license
that doesn't allow you to use it on any other machine.

I like the Belarc Advisor, and was delighted to find that it reported out
all my MS reg codes. It's a great tool for network administrators and I
often ask customers to run it when they can't describe their system to me.
I have them copy just the information that I need because I don't want to
see their reg info.
