We were having problems with NT 4 machines logging on to a
new 2000 server. We fixed it by doing a HKEYLOCAL registry
change, which works great! However, somehow the system
will "reset" itself to the old values and everyday we have
to change the values back again. Any ideas?
All patches and updates have been applied.

Thanks
Lorie

Could you post the exact registry change you made and the error you were
getting before the reg change?

Here are the changes we made to the reg.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanman
server\Parameters

Set enablesecuritysignature to 0
Set requiresecuritysignature to 0

The problem we were having is that NT4 workstations could
not access the Win2000 DC. We could map the drives but
when we tried to access them we'd get an 'Access Denyed'
error. We could access the the shared drives on the
Win2003DC. The problem now is that at random times these
setting revert back to 1. Is there a setting in a policy
that need to be set so that these keys won't change?

Thanks

Lorie
