.. . . which is my on-line bank connection. Whether I click on Links or Favorites or type
it in directly I immediately see the standard This Page Cannot Be Displayed screen. I've
set all security to the most liberal I can find and even tried disabling Windows Firewall
and AVG. I know they are there because I can access them fine from another computer on the
same router.

One possibility that occurred to me is that somehow their ip address got listed in the ?
file. That's the problem, I cannot think of the name of the file. It's in text and lists
alternate routings.

So, 2 questions: What's the name of the file? and What can I do to get back to the Bank?

Check for a file named HOSTS with no extension (not Hosts.sam). It may be a
hidden file. Open it with Notepad and remove any line referencing the site.
Or, rename HOSTS to OLDHOSTS

But thst's probably not it.

Make sure your firewall is not blocking port 443.
Go to Start | Run and enter these commans (press <Enter after each one).
