Hi,

I'm running Excel 2000 and I have a bunch of sheets that
make reference to other sheets, to move totals and names.
Example: ='Sheet 1'!C1. This will work for some time than
all at once I will make a change in one of the first
sheets and the change is not refreshed on the other
sheets. I looked out on the web and found that SR-1/SR-1a
fixes a problem like this, but I downloaded it and clicked
on it to install it and it told me that I already had it
installed. Have you ever had this problem? Can you help
me?

Thanks,
Rob

This can happen if Calculation mode gets turned to Manual. Check
Tools>Options>Calculation and set to Auto if needed.

The calculation mode of the first workbook opened in a session of Excel sets
the mode for successive workbooks that sre opened.

BTW, Excel 97 had a re-calculation problem and needed patches, but I never
heard of a problem with Excel 2000 regarding this.

Hi Gord,

Thanks for replying. I checked the manual ting and it not
set to manual. To get the cells to refresh a click on the
cell and click on the formual bar (where the formual is
typed in) and hit enter. I change nothing. I only hit
enter.

I using Excel 2000.

Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Rob
