Simon

The automatic refresh is not working in some of my
folders. For example, if I delete a file, its icon stays
there (but the file is deleted). Only when I click
View . . .Refresh, then the icon disappears.

Similarly when I copy a file into the same folder, it
only appears after I click refresh

Any idea what is happening?
And how can I fix it?

TIA
Simon

This is how to make the fault occur:

- - Create a folder and files in the Shared Document area
- - Create a New Toolbar containing a shortcut to the
folder
- - Open the folder from the new Toolbar
- - it opens with the Task Pane on the left-hand side
- - Copy and Paste a file
- - the copy will not be shown
- - click View - Refresh and the file will be displayed

- - switch to the Folders view
- - try Copy and Paste again
- - it works correctly

- - switch back to the Task Pane
- - try copy and Paste again
- - it works correctly

The key elements are:
- - folder in the Shared Documents area (or perhaps not
in the current user's area)
- - access via a Toolbar
- - no switch to Folders view
