Refresh Glitch?

An user created a new page on July 25th using FrontPage
2000. She asked me to review it but I when I went to look
for it in the list of files on our Web, (using FrontPage
2002), I couldn't locate it. On July 30th, I still
couldn't see it. The user showed it to me using FrontPage
2000. I had a hunch and did a REFRESH and then it
appeared.

Any idea why my refresh rate would be five days old? Is
automatically hitting the Refresh key the only answer?

TY.

had you cleared you browser and FrontPage
temp files.??
If not that can / will cause this.

I may not have been clear in my posting. The user cannot
see the the new page file listed when he is looking at the
FP2K2 Page and/or Folder view. If he hits his Refresh key
(F5), then he finally sees it. Viewing the page, via a
browser, is not what is being done.

Question is, does he have to automatically hit his Refresh
key before viewing the website's file/folder listing, in
order to ensure that he is seeing the most up-to-date
listing?

Sorry for the confusion.

That's sometimes a problem w/ multiple users accessing the same FP web
When each user closes the web, FP creates a cache files (*.web) on the users machine, which it uses to "speed" up your viewing of
the web content (say Folder List).
The *.web file is essentially a "summary" of all the individual FP config files in the web

Obviously your *.web file does not match her *.web cache file (because of her changes), so initially it is essentially "corrupt"
until you Refresh - or better still run a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks

IMHO
Any time multiple users are opening the same FP web from different logins (on same machine) or different machines, they should
always delete the *.web file before opening the web in FP, or run a Tools Web Settings Advanced - Delete Files, and a Tools
Recalculate Hyperlinks immediately on opening the web in FP
- the delay in opening the web is worth it to make sure the web cache file is not corrupted

Aaaah,

If a file is added while FP is open on another machine,
the other user will either have to Refresh, or close and reopen the web.
