Reformatting Windows XP-Can't complete the process

I am in the middle of reformatting my hard drive. I've gone through to
choose delete partition and have gotten through the process of restarting
Windows. I am stuck on a blue screen where I'm showing that Collecting
Information, Dynamic Update and Preparing Installation are all complete and
it's working on "Installing Windows". I don't think the computer is frozen
because the screen keeps changing and the green lights at the bottom of the
screen are moving. It begins to countdown the approximate time until setup
will complete and it gets to 34 minutes and doesn't go any further. I let it
go for almost 24 hours and it's still on 34 minutes. Is there anything else
I can do? Please help!

Thank you...I had my mouse plugged into the USB port, it didn't like that!
I'm all set now...
