OK group.
Here is the deal, I have a series of part numbers, for
example 00-12345-6789 or 123-456-789-11-12 that I am in
need of uploading into our UNIX database, however the
numbers are too long with the dashes..
I have looked at the EXCEL help functions however I don't
get the formulas to change them to a straight number I.E.
00123456789 or 1234567891112 Can someone please help me
understand the formula set up within EXCEL to reformat the
numbers so I can work with them?
Oh yeah, I receive spread sheets with over 1000 lines of
part numbers and need to reformat them by columns..
Any help would be great.
Thanks

Select the columns you need to change, Format them as Text, and then do Edit /
replace / 'Replace what' = - and 'replace with' = nothing (ie leave it blank)

If you don't format as text first, then you may lose all your leading 0s.
