i have a pre installed ntfs hd that came on my computer with ntfs. i have another os namely 98 that doesn't like the programs for reading ntfs and it would make life easier to convert to fa
any help?

stay with NTFS...if those programs can't handle NTFS...they're prob some off
the wall games or whatever...not worth the trouble...

Bullshit, at least if one stays with Fat32 and something happens to the OS
and/or hard disk, one can at least use a DOS boot disk and examine the hard
disk when it's Fat. In all likelyhood also copy any critical data files etc.
off the hard disk before attempting a clean install or other restoration
methods.

I've already been glad once when XP would load the desktop no matter what,
normal or safe mode. On top of that, the Command prompt using the XP cd
wouldn't let me just walk around anywhere on the hard disks. That was enough
for me.

No need for vulgarity...
Appears someone did not take their medication today...
Learn to relax...learn about NTFS...

You cannot convert your disc to Fat32 from ntfs (as far as I've been
able to find).

ou could create a FAT32 partition using PartitionMagic or similar program.
