reformatting my comp help!!!!!!

hi thank you for reading this
i am trying to reformat my computer. i have windows xp
that i am currently running in. how do u erease my hard
drive and everything and reinstall windows xp? i have a
virus and a bunch of other stuff so i need to redo
everything. if you could help me in ne way it wuld b
greatly appreciated. i have the boot up disk that will
allow me to start up in dos but i dont know where to go
from there thankx again
 
You need to bootup from your XP CD. Then format, partition, NTFS etc, then
reinstall all the apps
 
Go into your motherboards bios on the boot and change the boot sequence to
allow it to boot from CD first. Then like Doug said, format and then
install.
