Reformatting Hard Drive after installing XP Professional

Help!! The Virus protection that is installed on my laptop is not compatible with XP and I am not able to remove it completely. Our Techies at my office said this is the only way to completely remove the program and start over again

How do you completely remove and then re-install XP Professional??
 
Hi,

Boot the WinXP CD, start a new installation. You can format as part of it.
