Reformatting C: before installation

I've installed W2K a couple of times now, using both boot
disks and the CD (on a computer that used to run Win98).
When I attempt to restart the computer, it hangs during
start-up (this also happens at what seems to be the end
of the installation process, so I'm not sure it has ever
been totally installed).

My preferred option at this point is to reformat the hard
drive and redo the installation on a totally clean
computer. My problem is that I can't figure out how to
reformat the c: drive. I'm sure the answer is really
simple, and I'd love to hear it...

The answer is indeed really simple. Just boot from the CD and when it comes
to choosing which partition you want to install to, delete the existing
partition and create it again.

Hope this helps
