Reformatting and losing .pst

After reformatting a pc and then opening up Outlook it said that it was
unable to find archive.pst. Documents and settings were copied, but not the
hidden files. Is there any way that I can retrieve this .pst file as we need
iit desperately. The pc is on Windows XP, and Office 2003.

Since the PST by default lies in a hidden folder (under
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings), if you didn't copy the
hidden folders before you reformatted, then you have permanently lost the
PST.
