I have an Hp with xp home. No disk came with the computer. F10 during boot up gets me to Non Destructive System Restoe, which doesn't work! How can I reformat and reinstall with no disk?

If the following HP procedures do not work, the alternative is
to go out and purchase a "Full Version" of Windows XP and
proceed to perform a "clean install". Or you can contact HP
support and request Recovery Disks for a nominal charge.

P.S. You must return your HP computer to its original hardware
configuration before using HP's Recovery method. Disconnect
all peripheral hardware devices except for the monitor, mouse
and keyboard. Any internal hardware changes or upgrades must
be undone, such as removing a second drive you may have installed
or changing the video or sound cards.

The HP Recovery process looks for the original factory hardware
configuration, otherwise it will fail to execute as designed.
