Reformat Hard Drive

I have to wipe my hard drive and reformat it because I have Windows 98, and get too many blue screens. I have Microsoft Office 2000, and would like to save all my Outlook contacts, address books, and settings. I have read some of the posts, and tried to start by looking for my .pst file. When I search for this file (even when I refine my search to only the Windows folder), I get a message that the number of files found exceeds the maximum amount. How many .pst files are there (!?!?!) and which one is the one I back up to a floppy? Any other suggestions before I bit the bullet, wipe my hard drive, and begin the process of reinstalling everything? I am not upgrading at this time, because too many of my peripherals (digital camera, printer, etc.) do not have drivers supported by XP
Thank you in advance. I hope I can find this forum again to check for answers

Search on *.pst You better not have more then what 100. Actually you should only have 1. Make sure you can view all hidden files and folders (most). Windows Explorer | Tools | Folder options... | View.
